EMPOWERING WOMEN

As growers ourselves in Kenya for many years, our experience helps us to truly relate and understand the issues that farmers face.

We provide world-class agronomic training, contract farming, input credit services, and a fair and stable market for our small scale women farmers.

The result is a significant increase in crop return and income for our growers, ultimately leading to better and more sustainable livelihoods.

Employment-2.jpg

creating employment

We have created a significant number of jobs from the entire production process of our chia seeds. At the farm level, we’ve created over 1200 jobs in the Masaai communities we work with.

The most significant impact is amongst the female members of the community, since 3 out of 4 employees are women. This is important, since women traditionally have less opportunity than men, especially when it comes to education and employment.

SUSTAINABILITY

We farm superfoods sustainably in the fertile Rift Valley of Kenya. The ideal growing conditions, within 3 degrees of the equator and 1500–2000m elevation.

We have partnered with some of Kenya’s top farmers to determine best agronomic and sustainable practices. This helps us continually improve and impart our knowledge to small scale growers and their communities.

SUPPORTING EDUCATION

We have pledged to support Primary and Secondary education amongst the Masaai communities of Narok County by building one class room every year.

In addition we created an annual Scholarship for the top five placed girl students entering Form One from various schools in our communities.

To date we have built two class rooms for primary schools in Endashata and Oloika, Narok County.
